[Vwdiesel] Pressure plate to crank bolts, maybe rear main seal?

i missed some of the earlier comments on this thread but here goes. My mechanic likes to change the rear main seal when
doing the clutch., any thoughts hear! i think it wise myself.

Heating of the bolts might break the loctite since that stuff wasn't meant for heat as much. And ya, still have to support the pressure plate with a holder or a wire. Good practice is to replace the bolts but they don't always get done. I just make sure more loctite is applied and the heads aren't damaged from removal.
