Goo Gone or wd40 maybe. Not sure what would work well. At least the Goo
Gone isn't very airomatic.

Subject: [Vwdiesel] de-tint

On the old '85 Jetta, visibility is a serious issue. A long, long time
ago, it was tinted. Double tinted. Particularly on the rear window,
it's bubbled up and I can't see a thing through it. I need to figure
out how to remove it, but I'd like to not destroy the defroster wires
which still mostly work. Any thoughts? I know scraping is out, but I'm
not sure about just pulling, or maybe solvents. Any good bets on
solvents? Not sure what would dissolve the adhesive but not my
interior. (Either mine or the car's)

One of the many many maintenance issues that just don't come up on a 3
year old Toyota. However, at least crashing it into a tree because of a
boredom-induced coma is something I have over the Camry.
