[Vwdiesel] de-tint

Local police gave me a fix-it ticket for too dark of tint (Yeah, the
1.6TD FrankenJetta had broken under-car neon lights when I got it
too!)

Yep, goo gone and a lot of scrubbing.

Heat gun and some pulling first, if you pull carefully you might not
need much goo gone. Not too much heat, you want the adhesive to stick
to the tint, and not melt all over.

Razor blade worked great but slowly on the sides.

I left the rear and just cut out little spots of tint to repair the
defroster lines where they had overheated and melted the tint. Filled
the gap with defroster repair paint. Didn't look super great, but it
worked.

Will.
