Hi Loren or whomever might have some input.

I'm going to build a 1.5 and turbo it. My thought on the 1.5
is that the shorter stroke engine is happier at highway revs. With an N/A
diesel engine in a Rabbit car or pickup I much prefer the 1.5 to the 1.6.

It may be a wild thought but perhaps since I'm going to
turbo it with an intercooler perhaps I can make up with boost for a somewhat
drop in compression and mill valve pockets in the pistons to make it a
non-interference engine? I will also install a good thermostat controlled
oil cooler, water and oil temperature gauges, boost gauge, and what is in my
opinion a must in a turboed engine an EGT gauge. The pyrometer is a best
friend.
