[Vwdiesel] cabrio top advice, it is a diesel!

so my cabrio diesel swap is on the road as i fine tune some remaining issues and fall moves into chicago.
 
the current top is sevicable though would last a bit longer if I treated the material with something to soften it
allowing it to stretch, instead of tear.  any thoughts on what i might apply to it. mink oil is really a cream and laborious
to apply. I was thinking of a spray that would moisten the vynal and remove the dryed out look.
