I relied on this list for so many years, I looked at it daily but now I am down to one VW diesel powered vehicle and it is only used occasionally so I don't maintain my mail so well. Trouble is there is such a well of knowledge and experience here I find it hard to delete mail without reading it. With the help here I aqquired so much seat time in my VW diesels with minimal down time.

81 2dr. Rabbit Diesel - 180,xxx miles - 14 car pile up on Rt.84 in N.Y. crunched both ends
86 2dr. Jetta Diesel - 487,xxx miles - Was not much left after so many N.Y. interstate miles, colapsed in the driveway strut poked up to the hood.
85 2dr. Jetta Diesel - 478,xxx miles - Just plain old worn out everywhere and broken windshield was the last straw.
85 Grumman Kubvan - 32,002 miles - VW diesel powered with 5 speed. Post office prototype all aluminum including the frame. Will be here a long time.

Semi retired so I don't see the miles like I used to when I commuted 140 round trip six days a week. I do have all the components to do a veggie oil conversion and I have built a Hydrogen generator to add to it as well. I just need to address some maintenance and safety issues.

So I guess I'll just have to read all this knowledge base to stay well informed and start contributing as with that many miles I pretty much have seen/done it all.
