That sounds like a loose connection to me. They can look like a good
wire to the meter (0 ohms) but when you try to put power through them
they can't handle the current. Since a meter is only checking that a
tiny microcurrent will flow it's not a good indicator if the circuit
can handle any amount of power, only if there is a path at all.

So try to find that place where there's a loose connection. If you
have the key turned just trace down the wire and find where you're
losing your voltage, because somewhere in there it's being stopped. If
you find a warm spot that will likely be it.

> Have a head scratcher.  My 98 tdi Jetta would not start.  No crank when the key was turned.  In the course of troubleshooting I have chased voltage to the starter solenoid output of the antiftheft controller, but loose it between there and the starter solenoid.  The mystery is that I have zero ohms on the wire between the solenoid and the antitheft controller.  If I had a high resistance reading I would know what to look for, also if I had a short to ground I would know what to look for.  So does anyone have any good ideas.  Worm hole in time and space?  It did start when we broke her to lead, but that is a little impractical for everyday use.
