[Vwdiesel] water leak I guess from sun roof drain in A4 Jetta TDI wagon

this is the 3rd time I am seeing water.  I finally did some squeezing of the 
rubber thing sticking out on the passenger front door jam.  Seemed to have some 
water in there and fine dirt but not tons.  Do I need to take this rubber piece 
out of the door jam?
Will it pull down some do it can be inspected further.  Sure seems like this may 
just be dry rotted or broken?  But, the car is only 6 years old, that would not 
make any sense.
