[Vwdiesel] incessant whining (fwd)

That's what my mechanic's opinion is - it's too much labor to get to the alt
to make it worthwhile using anything but factory new Bosch alts.  But then I
guess he has the motivation of being expected to do the job twice for the
same money if the replacement alt fails quickly...
