[Vwdiesel] Spray-on headliner?

I've decided my 82 Rabbit n/a is never again going to have a real headliner.
It's just not worth it given the condition of the rest of the vehicle.  I've
got bare metal over my head, and I would like to quiet it down.  I had
considered the kind of spray-foam used for filling cracks and weathersealing
and such, but you can't get a thin, wide spread.  I would love to be able to
spray-in a quarter to a half inch layer of foam.  Any suggestions?
