The glow plugs really don't need larger wire. Shure it'll get a little
warm but they WILL warm up without adding work that really won't
make it start better.
For better starting, simply replace the stock battery cable/s (+ seems
to be the biggest improvement) with 6V rating cables. Lots bigger and
carry more juice for much faster cranking.
Don't think slow glows are made anymore. You tell the difference
with the ring right behind the threads. Silver is slow, brass is fast.
