[Vwdiesel] Oil Leak

Ah, okay then, totally different situation with more room for error. Is the
rest of the engine clean? That'll help. If you over-torqued the head you may
have comproised the seal around the return. Oil housing? that 3 hole paper
gasket?.. or the switch?.. turbo feed fitting?.

Regarding the torque specs and this reputable engine builder... By OE does
he mean OE for head studs or OE of the chassis your assembling an engine
for? if hes refferring to the OE of the studs, being ARP, fine, thumbs up.
If he's referring to the OE, meaning VAG, he was maybe mis-comprehending the
situation or isnt as competent. The clamping force applied using studs is
different than using bolts and tightening the nuts of a head stud as you
would tighten the head/shank of a bolt is not proper.

When I told you the specs of mine, I am speaking from experience and from
APR's chart.

Good luck figuring it out, hopefully its simple.
