When I had my windshield replaced on my rabbit they put I think either a rubber seal in the seal or something similar. Something round and flexible enough to get and stay in the gap and spread it to seal it would work fine. Take it to a shop that does windshields and ask if they can replace that for you for $XX. They have the right tools and finesse to get it in. I did the seal on my rear window to put a spoiler on and it SUCKS to put that plastic back in.
