[Vwdiesel] Caddy Exhaust

I have a techtonics 2.5 inch stainless exhaust on my rabbit with a 1.9 TD AAZ engine. The onlything in the pipe is a Borla stainless muffler which is actually straight through but is designed to keep it quiet. I have heard that the techtonics on the TDI engine is also really quiet which is what I won't. I don't want any sound in my family car. The car with the AAZ is much less noisy then the stock motor and exhaust in the rabbit truck. I almost got a ticket (would have if he wouldn't have been called away) for the trucks stock set up as it is so loud. The turbo does a good job chopping up the sound waves which is why they tend to be less noisy.

I wouldn't do a copper pipe for exhaust-the high copper prices you might come out and find your exhuast missing (that is suppose to be sarcasm which is hard to protray in words).

If someone needs a direct OEM truck exhuast parts place has them for a few hundred $$ or less as I was looking through there cataloge. If you want stainless then I would go with techtonics myself but you still have to solve the downpipe issue.

FYI I mounted a couple weeks ago a 2 inch receiver hitch on my Golf 04 in place of the rear bumper. I did it with a class 3 RV hitch (cheapest on on ebay) some 2 X 2 X 1/4 inch angle iron and then I used the bumper shocks plates cut off from the shocks welded to the hitch and bolted to the "frame" (unibody frame) with about 8-10 1/2 bolts (not including the 4 plate bolts from the bumper-which are so small I didn't include in the count). I then put a hinged licence plate mount on and put the hitch opening behind the plate. For the jettas out there brother and I are going to be doing that project in the next month or so but since there is no plate on the bumper (on the hatch/lid) we have to come out the lower bumper but same concept for the mounting.
