I have found this discussion to be very interesting & enlightening, especially the link to the Duramax Air Filter test link. It appears that this test was done in Sept. 2004. I have been am Amsoil dealer since 1974 (ZO#2185) but have mostly obtained their products for my own use. This is because I don't have a good salesman's personality & have not had a great success in selling to others. I have used their "Lifetime" reusable foam air filters but find they are no longer offering them but don't know when Amsoil dropped their "Lifetime" air filters. I have found they are not "Lifetime" filters but start crumbling after 20 years or less. I am a car collector & run Amsoil products whenever possible in all my cars. In my Ford Focus which now has around 143,000 miles I found that their latest air filter, "EA" resembles a pleated paper type which they call "Nanofiber" technology which they now guarantee for 4 years/100,000 miles. They claim this filter removes 5 times more than "cellulose" filters. When I first got my Focus which I bought new in Sept. 2001 I installed a K&N filter because Amsoil didn't then make a filter for my Focus. As I recall they suggest that you periodically shake the dust out of the filter but I am not sure but I then blow it clean with an air hose. I would like to see a test of the Amsoil "nanofiber" technology against an OEM air filter since you can, as I recall, buy an OEM filter at an auto parts store for around $10.00.

FYI, I have been running my Focus with Amsoil's "Signature" 0w30 synthetic engine oil. After about 15,000 miles from the last change I found the oil was down one quart which I then added. I then drove back to Minn. & return last year & the same oil, as of now is still at the full mark so I am sold on their oil.
