When did you last change the fuel filter??

Might be why the shop vac can't lift fuel.

I had mine plug while under way in the country last week. They will go for
years, then plug in a few miles. first symptom is loosing power on hills,
then just slowing down. I always carry a spare in the trunk, pre-charged
with fuel and capped to keep out dirt, stored upright in a tomato juice can,
wrapped in a rag (used to wipe my hands after the change) as I do a lot of
country miles on my A2.

5 minute roadside change-out.

Some of the (used french fry) oil I get has OEM filter-plugging crap in it
that gets past my 10 micron final processing filter.
