Shuffling shims is what I did with this engine, as I tried to remove a 0
thou on an exhaust. There were other low ones as well, like 6 and 4 on
inlets. None were at the top end of spec. I only ground the one, and it was
the exhaust, as the best I could do with shuffling, was turn it to 3.
Stuffed an oily rag round the spring, and draped over the rest.
I don't think shims are available here anymore, and my other 2 Quantums
are hydraulic.
What happens when valves sink in hydro engines?
