[Vwdiesel] A/C valve question and wanted

I think vacuum is just to get water/crap out of the system for increased
longevity. Not strictly required for it to 'work'.
FYI Harbor Freight sells a cheap vacuum gizmo that operates from compressed
air supply (go figure), it has AC fittings so I assume is intended for AC
work...
