[Vwdiesel] Dumb luck

                Sometimes a good buy turns to gold. A month or so ago I
bought a 1.6 Audi Turbo diesel engine and auto trans with all the
accessories at a country auction  for 45 dollars. I now have the head off
and the head is perfect as are the bores. It is bored 1mm over and the
pistons look almost brand new. Today I had to replace a starter on my Dasher
diesel and I used the starter off the new motor so now I figure it's less a
starter but the Turbo diesel engine  less the starter is now essentially
free and that is a good price. I plan to have it into a 90 VW Fox two door
station wagon with a 5 speed tranny in about a month. I'm going to sneak an
intercooler in and that should give me around 80 diesel horses in my 90 Fox
2dr wagon so I can tool down the highway at 50 mpg in my mini SUV.
