Thanks for the info Bryan & Loren!

Should a generic O-ring of the correct ID work in this instance?  Does the
smoke screw affect the cold start timing at all?  Or would the large RPM
variance be a smpli matter of adjusting the cable?

Currently she smokes hard under heavy acceleration with what looks like
unburnt fuel (white) mixed with the usual black smoke.  Would this indicate
someone buggering with the smoke screw already?
