[Vwdiesel] Cold Start nob, head rebuild, etc

The cold start nob depending on how cold you go you will want it or at least be able to use it for the one time you will need it. My rabbits barely run in the deep cold without it and they even like it at about 40 degrees. The 1.9 TD aaz engine it revs idle up some and it runs  a lot better cold with it ativated. Once warmed up a few blocks down the road about the only difference then is idle revs.
 
There is a rebuilder Frank06 on tdiclub that is really good with VW heads. If you crashed the head and don't feel comfortable I would sent it to him. I have his phone number if you need it. 
 
Head studs if you pull out the head I would go ARP studs since you have to get new bolts anyways. I think when I pull the heads off my rabbits they are going to get them the next go around. Too bad there isn't a deticated stud for the BEW engine yet.
