[Vwdiesel] TDI EGR Delete-experiences?

The way you used to do it was to either get comfortable with the MIL light
on all the time (no worries, it will flash for an urgent thing like no oil
pressure) or use an electronic device to fool the ecu. The ecu looks for a
corresponding drop in airflow from the MAF when the egr flow increases.. so
the device dinked with the signal from the MAF to show just that as the
cycle time% of the egr control increased. Everyone happy... or so it sort
of worked. Sort of.

Better and much more reliable way is to chiptune the car with a custom
program. The program just doesn't have the egr portion of the program.
There's a few programmers to choose from, and are just as good as the
programmer is smart and thorough, much like anything else. Loren should
chime in when he gets the chance he may have an opinion. Otherwise lots of
reading on tdiclub is in order... lots of stuff to dig through to find the
information.
I still just run a tuning box, and let the light shine. I know the motor is
running when the light is on...

Personally, I would just delete the silly egr junk that only serves to ruin
your motor, and chip the excretia out of it..... 60mpg if you drive it nice,
but less if you push it, but be prepared to change the stock clutch to the
VR6 one.

I'd like to know this too.
