[Vwdiesel] TDI EGR Delete-experiences?

To elaborate a bit on what others have said:
The cheap hack way of avoiding the CEL is to use a diode and a
vacuum-actuated switch. You wire the diode and switch into the signal line
for the MAF, with the switch controlled by the vacuum that used to open the
EGR valve. As luck would have it, the diode (in forward-bias) drops the
voltage of the MAF signal about the same as it should drop when the EGR
opens, thereby fooling the ECU that the EGR has opened and reduced the
intake flow. This is/was commonly referred to as an "Epsilon" device.
Never done it so I can't comment on the rest... I just run BD and an
EGR-delete chiptune. :)
