I don't think an ohmmeter is going to do you any good as the wires are
connected in parallel, so even if you're on either side of a break, you'll
just be measuring the path backward to the bussbar and through the good
lines.
Maybe real world conditions are the way to go, or perhaps hook it up, turn
it on and find a way to measure the minute amount of heat generated.
