[Vwdiesel] how to test rear window defrost lines

Find a walk in freezer or chest freezer big enough (I'd let you use  the 
walk in at the pizza place if you were a few thousand miles closer!) then  
hook up a battery to it.  They run on 12V, if you're concerned that too  many 
are bac an it'll burn (which doesn't seem to happen) then use a 6V or maybe  
the 6V setting on a charger, or a semi bad 12V battery.  The bad lines  
should show up pretty quickly as they don't burn off any condensation or frost,  
after putting the glass back into room temp.
