[Vwdiesel] Pump timing 1.6 Turbo

Brian - when you say "no turbo diesel likes your foot in the pump", what do
you mean exactly?  Is that speaking from an MPG, EGT, or other perspective?

I have a chipped TDI and I don't think I've ever once downshifted except to
keep the revs/boost in line - in other words to keep from overboosting at
low RPM.  As long as I'm over 2k or so I don't mind putting my foot into it
(gently of course).

But then I don't have an EGT gauge...
