Unless you want to keep everything stock, you should be able buy a universal replacement "cold start" cable at your local NAPA auto parts store. I did so for an overdrive control cable for my 1947 Hudson. Lots of hardware could be found at a good oldfashioned hardware store that has a wide assortment of parts including copper pipes & insulation for them from the engine to the WVO tank.
