PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T BUY FROM PROTHE. He sells junk. I bought an intake gasket once from him (buy it now, didn't realize who the seller was till after I hit buy it now). The OEM is a stamped steel, his were pressed lead flakes that crumbled in my hand. I used the old one. He has destroyed many diesels from bad timing belts to heads to cams. Depending on where your crack is on the head it might be worth giving Frank06 on tdiclub a call as his main business is vw diesel heads. He has brought many back to life. Partsplace might have a head for your engine but I wasn't impressed with there new head as it wasn't fit correctly for my engine (had both oil ports for the hydro head but with one just blocked off-the blocking never blocked well-leaked). Others have said there rebuild heads aren't the greatest either.
