[Vwdiesel] won't stay running

Check for fuel leaks on your pump - main shaft, pump head where it  
meets the body, etc. I had this issue and it turned out my main shaft  
seal was leaking pretty bad. easy to fix, that one. Also, as said, air  
getting in - that feed line from filter to pump needs to be air tight.  
make sure your fuel filter isn't clogged too. I like to pull the fuel  
line at the filter and stick it in a brand new pint of ATF (automatic  
tranny fluid)- that way you know it's clean, and the ATF supposedly  
cleans things out.
