[Vwdiesel] The ALT works

I started the tractor to warm up (didn't have time to plug in before). I got the items ready for testing and say a tail light harness for my fathers 430 L&G tractor with the lights. I tested the lights and they worked. I hooked in series with the tester light and it didn't work. Then I figured-try without the tester-Sure enough even at 1/3 throttle I heard the engine kick down a little on the tractor and the lights were out. I hooked (well-I was holding it on the terminal) and grabbed the voltmeter-14.5-good to go. I didn't even have to do WOT. So-I can now finish the wiring and have a sweet cab. Thankyou all for the help. I am not worried about the alt fan cooling-it will only be on during the winter so it shouldn't overheat during that. And I maybe will get 20 hours put on it on a bad snow year with 1 hour time frames.
