[Vwdiesel] OT uniformed tax collectors coming to a state near you (Publius)

Not sure why, but I've always taken note that in "other"
places(Vancouver BC to be specific), they report active speedtraps
(speeder readers) on the radio during the regular traffic reports.  I
wonder if there's some kind of liability issue (or informal "you'd
better not" issue) that prevents this from happening in the states?
Anybody else ever notice this practice elsewhere?
