[Vwdiesel] OT uniformed tax collectors coming to a state near you

  Long ago, Dad got pulled over in CA.  He was in the right lane,  doing 
about 15 over and about having his windows rattled off by people flying 
by (he wasn't afraid to speed but he wasn't going to go THAT fast!)   
When he got pulled over, the officer asked if he knew why and he said 
it must be because he was from out of State!  The cop told him to  follow 
him to the station, quite angrily.  Uh, what other reason would you  pick 
one 
of the slower cars to target?

And  before anybody gets worked up about excessive speed... A) I've
slowed down  a lot since then, and B) I was only going that fast
because I was following  a guy who was going even faster. :)
Unfortunately, when I asked why he  didn't stop the other guy, the cop
said "what other guy?".  :)




A friend got pulled over on Blewett Pass, as he was slowing down, to  pull 
over (he'd had a 44oz super caffinated drink (Caff Pow?  ;-)  and  there 
were 
no rest stops, just forest roads so...
  Wrote him up for doing 72 in a 60!  He asked him how fast that  truck 
that 
passed him was going?  The officer said something like "47 Miles per  hour!"
Going to court didn't even get it dismissed!
