Bryan,

OK, you got me.

I was thinking all fluids draining, not just glycol.  

The old Rabbits didn't use the G12 stuff, and I only changed glycol when
doing the pump, thermostat, cylinder head or whatever.  And those were not
at 2500 mile intervals.  Perhaps 100K intervals.

The oil I changed more frequently at 2500, sometimes 3000 miles.  Synthetics
were not an option for me, and I tended to use lower cost oils.
