[Vwdiesel] thermostat?

The thermostat on my 04 TDI is stuck open. the CEL is one because of it with a code that indicates it is taking the car to long to come up to operating temp when driving.
I still get heat in about 4-5 minutes even though my needle is on dead cold still.
but, not 5 degrees by any means in my neck of the woods.

Thanks Tad - not worried about the heat; first car I ever had with heated
seats so I'm perfectly fine... just trying to figure out if the thermostat
might be bad, or if they really take this long to warm up.
