I have heard of cooking (baking) potatoes on the manifold of a plymouth
flathead 6 on the way to the cottage. Punch a few holes to let the steam
escape, wrap in aluminum foil, set them on the top of the manifold and
secure as required.

Drive for about 3/4 hour, unwrap, butter, salt and pepper to taste, Yummy.

If unsure of the cooking time, take along a fork to test them if the traffic
has been heavy, or you are delayed for other reasons.
