[Vwdiesel] IP Question

Thanks Will, Not sure of the vehicle the 110 came from but the 109 is original to the Kubvan. It is based on a caddy drivetrain when they were being assembled in Westmoreland, Pa.. The engine, tranny, steering column and suspension were shipped to Grumman. Mine is a later model registered as a 1985 but was assembled in 1984.

I'm off and on working on it this week so I will check the valve length and if good to go I'll attempt my reseal project.

Terry

The 110G is from a 85-86 non-turbo ME engine. I can't figure out what

the 109C is from, although a 109 is from an '84.

The only thing that really changed is the pipes between NA and

Turbodiesel, until the (late 80s??) when a 3rd type of pipe was used for

both NA and TD - although Canada still go the old kind? - I'm pawing

thorugh ETKA trying to figure it out..

The only thing I'd really be concerned about is the length of the

delivery valves that attach to your pipes, otherwise I think you're good

to go. And this may not be a big deal - I believe the later pumps got

longer valves.

There are new features on newer pumps, such as the idle increase when

the cold-start valve is pulled on my '91 eco, but these shouldn't really

affect driveability.

weeks and sometimes it leaks daily. I'm nearly finished with my waste vegiie oil

conversion and this needs to be addressed before I wrap it up.

There is only 2 inches between the cover and sidewall. I need any advice for

easy pump gear removal. In the past I used a 2 leg puller but in the Kubvan

there is no room. Not enough for a puller or a plastic/brass hammer. Any ideas?
