 Hi Travis,
No plans to sell at this time. I looked at it about 15 years ago and seller wouldn't sell it, than I saw it hidden behind a storage unit at a used car lot. Had to stop and it was the guy I originally visited and he just purchased the dealership. The lot was changing the name, my wife does signs and graphics, he had a need, I wanted the Kubvan so we bartered signs for a Kub. By that time the bumpers were gone, tranny, brakes, and more.were shot. I had all the spares needed to get back mobile and have driven it for the past 6 years. Weighs 2100# wet and gets about 60MPG. My wife also has a Dodge PU with miserable fuel mileage so we use the Kub for most local use.

It is kind of a permanant vehicle. All aluminum frame and body, all VW engine, tranny, steering column, controls, suspension, cooling, braking..........

The rest is all Grumman stepvan parts with good supply sources.

I'll prep it for pump removal and than try a quick pry and plastic hammer. Usually I or the item getting pried and beaten gets damaged so I'll try until I get that just a litter harder should work feeling and than try a puller. I did think of dropping the engine but than there will be the wile your in there syndrome.

I'll have a couple of hours a day this week to work on it so I'll keep the forum posted.

Terry

is a lot than after a short drive is fine. Crazy but sometimes it is fine for

weeks and sometimes it leaks daily. I'm nearly finished with my waste vegiie oil

conversion and this needs to be addressed before I wrap it up.

There is only 2 inches between the cover and sidewall. I need any advice for

easy pump gear removal. In the past I used a 2 leg puller but in the Kubvan

there is no room. Not enough for a puller or a plastic/brass hammer. Any ideas?

the spare pump but it has a different number,

If you know of any of these forsale or would sell yours I would be a willing

person to buy. I would love a salt resistance VW (part vw anyways) for the

winter time so I could get ride of the 6 mpg dodge truck my wife is driving.

As for getting the pulley off. I have a number of times gotten if off with a

long pry bar. Careful though as you could break/damage/bent something. Also

leave the nute on part way so it doesn't go flying into something else. Or-pull

the engine.
