Agreed, since you have another pump gear, flat air hammer chisel will do it then for sure if you can get it in there.

I had a few that had not been off in many many years and they took a lot to get them off with the cheap-O 3 finger puller I used to use before getting a REAL puller to do the job right.
The puller I have would not fit in there btw, motor would have to be dropped.

best of luck, hang in there.

Don't be afraid to use a heat gun.  I wouldn't recommend you use open flame,
but have used heat guns in poor circumstances... just be wary of fire, and
be prepared for it, so if it starts, you snuff it quick, you aren't hurt,
and neither is the vehicle.
If the pump and sprocket are disposable, and not afraid to break the
sprocket...  You need a bigger hammer.
With the puller on, beat the sprocket from the backside driving it away from
the pump.  It has to let go, no options.  Vibration is the thing.  If hammer
doesn't work, use an air chisel with a flat punch.  That kind of vibration
will loosen almost anything.
If not, you break the sprocket. then snap off the sprocket "spokes" and you
should be left with a hub that fits through the bracket.

Two plus days of fighting with this injection pump. Well off and on but
still running out of ideas. I just can't get the cog pulley off. On this
Kubvan there is only two inches between the pulley and the side panel. I
tried going from wood wedges to home made puller and than onto more violent
methods but the dang thing will not release. I know the pump must have been
off once before by a PO as the retaining bracket for the inner and lower
mounting bolt was not under the rear bolt. I guess the shaft/pulley bolt was
over torqued and this thing is really planted on the taper.

I made a puller and was able to really put some pulling pressure on it and
took a long punch and hammer to a flat on the bolt still not budging.

Even if I pulled the motor the only change in attack would be a straight hit
on the drive shaft. I have already beat up the pulley so bad I'll need the
spare I have. I also think heat is not an option as the idea of using a
torch in a tight area on a diesel soaked pump. At this time pump and pulley
are disposable.

Any other ideas?

TIA - Terry
