It's a tough looking gear.  I've never had a problem with  a couple pry 
bars 180 from 
eachother then a couple good whacks from a 2lb hammer, on the end of the  
input 
shaft.  Tension then a shocking blow or two.  Sucks you can't get  a good 
swing at 
it.  :-(
