[Vwdiesel] Brakes

I currently have 132K on my brakes and clutch and counting. Salt does a 
far amount of damage to brakes as well with the rusting. I have a lot of
 pad left and I do a far amount of towing but I drive like Bill said he 
does. My Chevy Lumina I had owned once. I had 2 sets of brakes by 130K. 



In other news. I did get the GEO Metro-aka Chevy Metro. The last couple 
years were Chevy's. I have a 2000 which is the last year sold to the 
public. Has 93K on it and little rust. $750. Leaks some oil and the 
right crumple zone has been uncrush some. It seems to run ok and my 13 
inch snow tires will swap over from the rabbits since I don't drive them
 in the salty snow. Clutch seems a little weird but seems to hold. 
Strange having a 1 L engine under the hood. I think my JD L&G 
tractor has a bigger engine almost. This will be my smallest car I will 
have ever owned. Now I can take my time getting the 86 golf running for 
my other winter beater.
