[Vwdiesel] GAS TO DIESEL IN AN 85 JETTA

That is a super-fancy version of what I did in my Cabriolet years ago. IIRC, I just hooked four separate wires (different colors) with a longer bolt to the one fuse on the firewall. That was inspired by someone's post on this list back then.
For the fuel solenoid, when I converted my Cabriolet, I extended the wire that powers the coil. Worked perfectly.
For the glow plug relay system, I simply pulled the relay socket and it's wiring out of the donor car, noting where the wires went and it was easy to use a wiring diagram to hook them up to similar places on the Cab. Pretty simple.
However, IIRC, it is just like any regular relay with a couple more wires. So one of the big fat red wires goes to the battery, the other goes to the glow plugs. Then you'll need to ground the ground wire (easy!), tie into the ignition switch wire (I think I just found one under the dash that was energized with the switch on), run a wire to the temp sensor on the engine, and run a wire to a light on the dash. Until I found a turbo diesel cluster (I wanted an easy, stock tach solution instead of doing it like Roger's which is also good), I had that running to the EGR light on the dash cluster.
Spend a little bit of time studying the wiring diagrams of the donor car and the recipient and you'll be able to see if my relay description was right or not! Ha ha, I think that is right but it has been several years and I'm going by memory.

Better yet for the glow plug wiring, add FOUR fuses to the GP power side,
for future ease of troubleshooting and service
