[Vwdiesel] Limp Mode Frustration

Reminds me of a Lycoming T53-13 (if memory service) that had variable inlet guide vanes.  Had to do compressor washes every 25 hours otherwise performance would suffer when the vanes got stuck from dust and grease.  A pump up weed sprayer with Turco soap mixed with water.  Pilot would motor the engine and I'd squirt soap in the inlet, let it set and then rinse it out with fresh water.  On the Garrett TPE-331 it had water/methanol injection so we never had to do washes.  Guy might be able to do the same thing with a water methanol mix squirted in the inlet of the turbo while driving.
