I have the techtonics exhaust on my rabbit and love it. Full stainless and mandrel bent. I didn't have the luck with the down pipe though having a 1.9 TD aaz in there. All told it is likely overkill though. But you won't need to install another system on that car ever again from rust. I will someday when I get teh other supporting mods done (turbo and intake system and injectors) get that same system on the 04 Golf as the ones I have talked with said it is very quit as well. I am past the days of wanting a loud exhaust. I just want it efficient.
On the flywheels for TDI's (and many others anymore) they are dual mass. The dual masses absorb some of the engines chatter when each piston is firing and smooths things out. The flywheel from what I have read actually has a fair amount of movement between the two peices. THe bad thing is that the parts holding them together can fail which if you can imagine it becoming a lawn mower in there when that happens ripping your tranny to peices. It typically sounds like marbles in a can before that happens and most people know enough to get it fixed before it lets loose. Other issues is they don't like power and don't have much clamping force past the stock horse power even for the VR6 flywheel/clutch setup. Not just VW uses dual mass either. The older cars used a single mass flywheel so there is nothing extra to let loose. The disadvantage is it does chatter some more and more so at idle. G60 flywheel is what people go with on OEM setup. There is some weight options to choose from. The heavier the better on a diesel or you will get the chatter more so (learned that on my rabbit). With clutches you have to watch clamp force because if it takes too much force to puch the pedal in that is putting too much pressure on your thrust bearing and causing it wear. But some clutchs rely more on the matterial then the clamp force to get the added torque rating. The SouthBend stage 2 endurance with single mass flywheel is a good one to go with. Brother has that and I will when my clutch starts to go.

They sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying 10% of his salary ? and that's crazy. Do you think the millionaire ought to pay more in taxes than the busdriver? Ronald Reagan
