I was told by a rebuilder that these nozzles are good for about 100K or actually less. I'd suspect (mostly from James' experience) that if you go with an upsized nozzel, you'd really notice improved mileage (~5mpg?) and a slight increase in power. Stock nozzle and your power would go down, due to being used to the worn - larger nozzles.

Subject: [Vwdiesel] Nozzles?
I have an '02 Golf TDI w/5-speed.
've noticed that upon cold-engine startup (and sometimes with warm engine),
ven in warm weather, a puff of smoke.
ixed use driving since January has yielded a pretty consistent 39-40 MPGs
xcept for one rogue 35 MPG tank when I filled up at a different station.
have not noticed any smoke while driving, or idling.
he puff of smoke and slightly lower than expected mileage combined with 232,000
iles makes me wonder about the nozzles.
hat do you all think? Recommendations? Possibly a small upgrade?
ave Cook
