Looks like my brother now needs a cam. We already had Franko6's cam parts from tdiclub for the install but we had waited for the actual cam till we needed them and they were more proven on whether a stage 2 was in order or an OEM one. One of the lobs is starting to show marks and wearing down on the chamfer edge (.020 missing when that is gone). So we both have the nitrided lifters, the none torque to yeild bolts Frank sells, tandem pump seal, cam seal and bearings that were modded to change the oil flow. Franks cam has been out for around 8 months and the only issue was one person with over 200 hp complained it didn't give him a bump in HP. I have heard some issues with the Colt regrind cams and the new cams just cam out a month ago so they aren't proven at all yet. The cam place that is done Franks cams have done it for longevity more then HP. The HP is just a side benifit. The bearing surfaces have also been Chrome plated. Will have to see what turns out with it. Frank has a waranty of 3 years unlimited miles if you use the parts we already have along with proper oil and breakin procedure. Colt warranty is 3 years 300K miles.
