Ah, that was my confusion… yes, the DOT laws are a little different, and that’s where the 25 year rule is… though it seems there are exceptions.

Either way, $7,000 for a ’93 Eurovan is a bit steep.  KBB says maybe $4K private, $5K retail for a US spec gas model.

WOW>  I hadn't heard of those before!!  Guess I am out of touch.  The EPA ones are for emissions, What about the NHTSA/DOT laws for safety standards (that is what gets us coming the other way)??
