[Vwdiesel] Loss of power and rough running

I have had the tank out , blew out the lines and cleaned up the tank due
previous starvation issues. I then installed the in line diaphragm pump 4-7
rated psi. When it has no fuel to push or is building psi it knocks fairly
loudly. I may have to look into my Bentley for a return check valve?? I
would randomly do this after a few hours on the highway and its fairly
hilly around here. I do have a new tank and sending unit, waiting on the
opportunity to install them. From last summer I now have a paved surface to
work from rather than literally under the tree in the yard!
