Just a quick update. I have rebuilt all four calipers and will attempt to bleed the brakes again tomorrow. It does seem as if both the front and rears were at least partially stuck so maybe I will finally be able to get this thing operating. If I can't, I promise not to take a sledgehammer to it (it is too nice a car) but it may well be for sale. Tomorrow morning, I am going to look at an Jetta TDI wagon with a "bad" engine. Don't exactly know what that means but my daughter and son-in-law need an inexpensive second car so I thought I would go look. My guess is a broken timing belt which should just require a rebuilt head. At this point, I don't even know which engine is in the car, ALH or BEW as both came in the 04. My biggest concern is the auto transmission. I know some go for miles and miles without problems while others break in a relatively short number of miles (out of warranty of course). Hayden
