[Vwdiesel] VW truck work

List is getting smaller. Cooler weather allows for one to work much easier. I decided that after all these years I would install my oil pressure switch back in the VW's. I had instead placed a gauge there. Well the 1.9 AAZ engine had a plug on the filter flange so that is where the gauge sender went with the oil pressure switch back in the stock location. The truck since I am still repairing-not running- I took the filter flange off and drilled two holes with the proper thread for the Autometer gauges (1.8 NTP27 vs the metric thread the car has already on other spots). The metric thread is close to work with the standard thread but it is different. So I feel better being able to get a true pressure reading from down at the filter where there wouldn't be any lose yet and having a light able to turn on RED if the time calls for it to alert me. Watching a gauge drop to zero without something turning on may not be noticed.

Before I never had done this since I didn't have a nice drill, drills and tap set. I finally have a few more tools (taps just got this spring) so I can fix the mistakes I made earlier due to lack of resources/money. I also fixed my door post on the rabbit car. May be able to start the truck tonight. I need to figure out a good way to install the truck visor on the roof of the truck (found one with an VW number stamped into it-only one I ever found-made of fiberglass). It has 6 holes to it for mounting.
