[Vwdiesel] Tuning questions

Hi all! Finally I have finished the exhaust, cold air intake and installed
my gauges. My boost will only go to 10 psi and my Egt gauge isn't working
yet but am going to double check connection on the sending unit side
tomorrow and call tech support if needed. Is there any mild tuning tricks
without buying/ordering  anything? We head out Thursday on our camping trip
and still have to get the waterpump impeller done on my outboard motor and
domestic duties before we leave. Thanks! Quick question observation, does
the diaphragm on the pump restrict fuel when boost is reached? Is that why
the 15psi aneroid is needed?
